People may think routine dental exams and cleanings are unnecessary, but they’re essential to maintaining a healthy mouth and body. Dental exams and cleanings help prevent numerous oral and general health concerns, not to mention they give you a beautiful, fresh smile.

Whether you’re a Train Station Dental regular or a new patient, we’d love to help you improve your dental health so you have a healthy grin for life!

Dentists Dr. John Savon and Dr. Sara Engleman have the training and skill necessary to treat patients of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. We stress the importance of regular dental care because we feel that optimum overall health begins with the oral cavity.

Numerous studies now indicate a relationship between chronic diseases of the mouth, like gum infections, and complex general health concerns like heart disease, respiratory disease, diabetes, arthritis, and dementia.

While preventive treatments protect your oral health, they can also reduce the risk of developing complications associated with these general health problems.

Our comprehensive dental exams and cleanings allow us to protect your oral health and overall wellness by preventing tooth decay, gum disease, and more.

Oral Health Exams

Our dental team thoroughly examines your oral cavity and looks for signs of disease and decay, including oral cancers. We use digital dental x-rays and intraoral cameras to get a detailed look at your teeth, gums, tongue, jaws, and other oral structures and tissues. Routine dental exams give us the opportunity to stop problems before they start, thus preventing costly or complex treatment in the future.

Dental Cleanings

During a standard teeth cleaning (also called prophylaxis), we use special smile-safe instruments and products to eliminate plaque and tartar from all the nooks and crannies of your smile. We also floss and polish your teeth.

Periodontal maintenance is essential for patients with gingivitis or gum disease. We perform a standard cleaning plus scaling and root planing where we clean and seal the gum pockets.

Please contact us today to schedule your preventive dental exam and cleaning with Dr. Savon or Dr. Engleman. By working together, we can ensure that you enjoy a lifetime of excellent oral health.

We are pleased to offer various financial options to make dental treatment affordable, including our in-house dental plan and in-house financing. Our dental office also accepts CareCredit and dental insurance.

Train Station Dental is proud to serve families from Audubon, Haddonfield, Camden, Mt. Ephraim, Oaklyn, Lawnside, Barrington, and the surrounding communities.
